Employment attorney Allyson Terpsma will provide a refresher course on the Family and Medical Leave Act. In particular, she will review employer coverage, employee eligibility, qualifying reasons for FMLA leave, recognizing and responding to FMLA requests, the certification process, and the contours of FMLA leave. Allyson will also address updates related to COVID-19, including the FMLA’s temporary expansion by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

Allyson will present for 60 minutes regarding the above topic. We devote the remainder of the time to Q&A and information regarding BASIC’s FMLA Administration. Approved for 1.0 HRCI and 1.0 SHRM-CP advanced credits for HR professionals. Credits are for live attendance only.
