Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) have been around for several years and they are still widely used by employers of various sizes. Because of their long history and wide-use, sponsors of FSAs tend to overlook various legal pitfalls that may arise in the administration of FSAs. In addition, Congress and the IRS have recently taken steps to increase the flexibility of FSAs in response to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar will provide an overview of Medical and Dependent Care FSAs, an explanation of the factors that employers should consider when adopting FSAs, identification of the specific issues that can make the proper administration of FSAs challenging, and the impact of COVID-19 on FSAs.
The first 60 minutes Brett Liefbroer will present on the above topic. The remaining time will be devoted to Q&A and an insight into BASIC’s FSA Administration.
BASIC’s webinar is approved for 1.0 HRCI and 1 SHRM-CP credits for advanced professional credentials for HR professionals worldwide. Credits are only available for live attendance.
