Turkey Season!
It’s turkey season in Michigan and our feathered friends have been putting on quite a show the last couple weeks. Lots of strutting at Bishop’s Bog!
We are fortunate to have our corporate office in Portage, Michigan adjacent to Bishop’s Bog. We have a great view of deer, turkey and a wide variety of birds.
Bishop’s Bog Preserve is another natural treasure of the City of Portage. This 152-acre preserve is the largest “relict” bog in Southern Michigan. Ancient and untouched, it is home to several rare plant species, including the Orange Fringed Orchid and Stemless Pink Ladyslipper. The bog is registered with the Nature Conservancy.
