AWS Outages Impacting BASIC CDA Services
A technical problem with Amazon Web Services (AWS) has made the internet and software that AWS powers unreliable in parts of the U.S. This outage is affecting BASIC’s ability to service our CDA clients and participants.
On AWS’s website, the company said it was experiencing errors that were causing issues for a range of cloud-software programs in its region, covering the eastern part of the U.S. So far, several companies have stated that they’re experiencing issues as a result, including Roku, Pocket, Flickr, Adobe Spark, Spotify-owned Anchor, Glassdoor, and iRobot.
The company didn’t give a reason for the outage, only that it was experiencing increased error rates and that it was working on a resolution.
Due to the AWS issues, coupled with high call volumes over the past few weeks, BASIC clients and participants may face longer than usual wait times on Monday, November 30.
